Dragonfly

This little fella reminds me of the concept of wabi-sabi. Embracing imperfection because nothing and no one is "perfect." We all have our flaws, scars, and imperfections. Love yourself as you are. This is not a perfect specimen of a dragonfly, but it is a perfect individual. It still eats mosquitoes, and I am happy it does. This dragonfly lived near my community pool, and I captured this shot while it was resting on the fence, while my kids tried to splash me from the pool.

I have this image on my wall to remind me that there is no such thing as perfection and we are who we are, just people trying to live with our faults and imperfections.
